A farmer from Keota is making his second bid for the Statehouse. Jarad Klein has announced that he will seek the Republican nomination for the seat in District 89. Klein says he’s running on a platform of fiscal responsibility. Klein says Iowa also needs to make a commitment to economic development. He says too many young people are being lost to “brighter opportunities” outside the state. Klein ran for the post in 2008, but was narrowly defeated by Democrat Larry Marek.
