Iowa Supreme Court Justice Marsha Ternus imploring lawmakers to hold the line on funding for the state’s court system. Ternus is also proposing increases in certain court fees and the use of a paperless case management system. She also presented legislators with a report on using digital audio recordings for official court transcripts. Ternus also urged lawmakers not to force court consolidations through a lack of funding. She made her comments during an annual report of the state of the judicial system.
