The Washington Demon wrestlers are sending four to the district round of the post season, and the team has advanced on the dual side as well. The Demons were wrestling in Mediapolis on Saturday at sectionals and they had four wrestlers qualify for districts. At 125 Zach Walgren, 135 Tyler Jaspering, 145 Clint Stout, and 152 Travis Shellman all moved on. . Those wrestlers will compete at the district tournament on Saturday for the right to go to state. The district tournament will be here in Washington. The Demons also finished second as a team Saturday which means they advance to the team dual regional. The Demon squad will head to Wilton tomorrow and face Davenport Assumption. If they win they’d take on the winner of Columbus and Monticello, which will wrestle in the first dual at the Wilton site. That second dual would be for the right to go to state.
