In the boys’ game, when the two teams met in Washington earlier this season, Fort Madison started very cold from the field which allowed the Demons to get a big lead early. Last night the Bloodhounds came out hitting and led early but the Demons were on top going into the second 19-15. It was Washington up 37-31 at halftime, but similar to the girls game the Demons started the third quarter forcing some turnovers with a different defensive look and got some momentum. They led 51-43 going into the fourth and won 62-51. Alex Vogel had 23 points including a three and was 7-9 from the free throw line. Isaac Gardner had 19 with three three pointers, Colton Covington had 8 and Kaleb Rich had seven. With the win the Demons give themselves a chance to tie for the conference championship when they host Mount Pleasant on Friday.
