Demons meet Panthers in Burlington for District Final

The Washington Demon boys basketball team is back on the floor tonight taking on top ranked and rival Mount Pleasant. The teams play at Burlington High School. The winner of tonight’s game gets to head to the US Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids and play at Sub-State. The Demons are coming off a win over Keokuk 65-57 in the opening round, while Mount Pleasant beat Fort Madison 61-33. The Panthers beat the Demons 48-40 in Mount Pleasant and 64-50 in Washington. Demon Head Coach Bryce Smeins says it’ll be a battle and he feels his team can play loose as an underdog tonight. The Demons and the Panthers will tip-off at 7-pm in Burlington. You’ll be able to hear the game right here on KCII we’ll be on the air at around 6:45 with the pre-game. The winner of tonight’s game will play the winner of Williamsburg and Clear Creek Amana.
