There is a greater than normal risk of spring flooding across much of eastern Iowa this year. That’s according to the latest flooding outlook from the National Weather Service. Hydrologist Maren Stoflet says the predictions are made using computer simulations that uses historical data. She says they also take into account normal precipitation and temperature over the next three months. The report shows increased flooding risks on the Mississippi River near Muscatine, the Iowa River near Lone Tree, Columbus Junction and Wapello, the English River near Kalona and the North Skunk River near Sigourney
