Libraries Ask for More County Funding

The Washington County Library Association is asking supervisors for a 15-thousand dollar increase in funding in this year’s budget. Patrick Finney, with the Washington Public Library the state has recommended public libraries try to get more funding from rural residents. Finney says the state had recommended trying to get rural funding at about 75 percent. He says this 15-thousand dollar increase would represent 50-percent.
