press play to hear from State Rep. Larry Marek

A southeast Iowa state lawmaker says the legislature will likely need to dip into reserve funds to balance the upcoming fiscal year’s budget. Larry Marek says he wants to make sure the state leaves some money in the so called “rainy day fund.” Marek says they’re still figuring out where all the pieces are going to fit in the coming fiscal year’s spending plan. Marek spoke this weekend at the Washington Chamber of Commerce’s legislative briefing.
