The National Weather Service’s Quad Cities office is announcing its first storm spotter training class of the year in Washington County. The session is free and focuses on things like storm structure, spotter positioning, safety and damage reporting. The course is geared toward emergency personnel but is open to the general public. The class is March 17 at the Riverside Fire Station. Contact Washington and Keokuk County Emergency Management Coordinator Larry Smith for more information.
