Banning texting while driving is a topic stirring up a lot of buzz during this legislative session, and the proposed law to make it illegal is being supported by State Senator Becky Schmitz of Fairfield. She points to data from national experts which indicates the problem is getting worse all the time, and is becoming an epidemic. Schmitz says texting while driving is especially dangerous because it requires using both you’re hands and eyes.
