Three wrestling for state titles

At the state wrestling tournament, three area wrestlers will be in state championship matches. First at 112 Sigourney-Keota’s Kalen Greiner advanced out of the semis with a 9-7 decision. Greiner is unbeaten on the season and will face Denver-Tripoli’s Gunnar Wolfensperger who has three losses on the season. At 130, Columbus Jake Keller won his semifinal match on a 15-6 decision. Keller only has one loss on the season and faces Creston’s Jake Marlin who has three losses and advanced into the final winning in overtime. Finally at 140, Columbus’ Seth Noble tries to remain unbeaten when he meets sophomore Blake Melling of East Marshall/GMG. Melling has five losses on the season.
