press play to hear from U of I Poli-Sci. Prof. David Redlawsk

A political scientist at the University of Iowa says Governor Chet Culver could face an uphill battle during this fall’s election. Dr. David Redlawsk says it’s a difficult time to be a chief executive in any state. Redlawsk says Culver’s reelection bid will also hinge on what voters decide in other races this fall, because state lawmakers and Congress are also up for reelection. A recent Des Moines Register poll indicates that Governor Culver’s approval rating dropped to less than 40-percent, which is a record low.
