press play to hear from Rick Conrad with the Washington Co. Ambulance Service

A representative of the Washington County Ambulance Service says his organization is suffering without a semi-annual subsidy from the City of Washington. Rick Conrad addressed the council at last night’s meeting. Conrad says without the ambulance service in Washington, the city would have to start a first responder’s squad. He says that could cost more than 50-thousand dollars. Councilors have declined to take action on the more than eight-thousand dollar appropriation at the past several meetings.
