Washington County Supervisors have approved purchasing a piece of property in downtown Washington to build a new facility for Public Health. Supervisor Wes Rich says it is going to be more expensive than initially hoped. Rich says the county’s engineering office estimated it would cost roughly 35-thousand dollars to get the site ready to build on. That’s about 15-thousand dollars more than was budgeted for that aspect of the project. Rich says the seller agreed to meet the county halfway and knock 75-hundred dollars off the purchase price.
