Eight Washington High School students are competing in the state speech contest this month. Angie Edwards, Jacque Lillie, Nick Kleese, Tyler Lynch, Brian Langr, Nolan Breard, Greg Schneider, and Steffany Adrian participated in the district competition in Wapello over the weekend. 12 of their 14 events were given a superior rating by the judges. State speech is March 13 in Cedar Rapids.
