Ag Secretary Hopeful on Special Edition Ag Week Magazine

press play to hear from Francis Thicke

A dairy farmer from Fairfield who’s hoping to be Iowa’s next ag secretary says agricultural models need to be rethought. Francis Thicke, who’s hoping for the Democratic Nomination to run against Bill Northey, says current farming operations are too reliant on outside energy. He says producers need to look at things like small scale wind farms and biofuel operations to power agriculture in the future. Thicke will be our guest during tomorrow’s special edition news magazine in honor of National Ag Week. That airs at 1:00 and 6:00 PM. It will also be streamed at KCII-Radio-Dot-Com.
