The Washington Demon boys track and field team will get to step onto the track for their first meet of the season today. The Demon Indoor will be run this evening. The girls’ meet was held Tuesday and today it’s the boys turn. Meet organizer and Demon Boys Track and Field Head Coach Steve Roth says they have around 25 schools coming ranging from 4A to 3A. This is the third year for the meet. Roth says with these first few meets he’ll primarily run his older kids. He says the basketball kids have only been out for about a week so they will be running in one event, the others have been practicing for a few weeks and will run in two events. The Demon Indoor will be on the campus of the University of Iowa in the recreation center near the bubble.
