press play to hear from Interim Engineer Jacob Thorius
Soggy, spring weather can take its toll on Washington County’s secondary roads, but they’ve held up pretty well so far this year. That’s according to Interim Engineer Jacob Thorius. He says they have embargoed some gravel roads, and haven’t had any issues. He says they did have some people “mud running” on some class B roads, which is illegal. Thorius says a good rule of thumb this time if year is to stay off of secondary roads unless you absolutely need to be on them.
