The Demons girls track and field head coach is excited about his 4×8 team’s run at UNI yesterday. The Demons were competing in the Dickinson Relays at UNI, a meet that is also recognized as the state indoor meet for the girls. Demon Head Coach Howard Bean says the 4×8 team of Lucy Libe, Regan Enfield, Beth Dillion, and Lauren Kimball finished in the top 15. He says the meet organizers were still working on the results last night so he doesn’t have the exact place or time, but he is confident they ended up in the top 15, which he feels is great considering not only the number of teams in the field which was around 85 or 90, but that also included a lot of 4A schools. The Demons were also competing in the high jump, 60 meter dash, and 60 hurdles. Bean says the 4A schools finished high in many of the events yesterday. The Demons open their varsity outdoor season next Thursday at Mediapolis.
