Press play to hear from Washington resident Tom English

A clearer picture has emerged of what Washington’s new high school might look. Representatives from Des Moines based SVPA Architects presented school board members with detailed plans at last night’s meeting. The new facility will be built as an annex to the Junior High. Right now plans account for leaving Silter Drive open as the city has yet to make a decision on whether or not the street should be closed. The new facility is expected to be about 90-thousand square feet and cost around 16-million dollars.
