All the recent warm weather has many green-thumbs anxious to get in the garden. However ISU Extension Horticulturalist Richard Jauron says it’s much too wet right now. He says a good way to gauge soil moisture is to go into your garden and pick up a clump of dirt, make it into a ball and apply pressure with you’re thumb. He says if it easily breaks apart it’s dry enough, if it doesn’t it’s still too wet.
