Eastern Iowa Congressman Dave Loebsack is co-sponsoring a bill that would force U.S. senators and representatives to take a five-percent pay cut. Loebsack says it would mark the first time member salaries have been reduced since 1933. Federal lawmakers get an automatic cost of living increase unless they vote against them. This measure would also block such increases for the next year.
