press play to hear from State Sen. Becky Schmitz

The Iowa Senate has passed a measure that would afford home school assistance programs flexibility in how state funding is spent. Becky Schmitz of Fairfield is chair of the senate education committee. She says the original education bill had stipulated that home school programs couldn’t spend taxpayer dollars on clerical expenses. The measure is now in the house.
