Mary Leedy, with Free County, says they’ll continue to fight zoning

Washington County will soon have a zoning ordinance. Supervisors approved the measure this morning 3-2. Jim Miksch, Wes Rich and Adam Mangold cast the yes votes. The two dissenters were Steve Davis and Jim Rosien. The ordinance is set to take affect July 1st. A citizens group that’s vehemently opposed zoning says they’re far from finished. Mary Leedy is with Free County. She says she’ll ask other members of her organization to support supervisor candidates who promise to overturn the zoning ordinance. 58% of people who took an online survey at KCII-Radio.Com have said this morning’s decision will “very much” effect how they vote this November.
