President Barack Obama’s speech this week in Iowa City was about more than just healthcare. The president also took time to identify goals in other areas such as employment, education and the deficit. Obama has since begun to take action. He signed a jobs bill yesterday that offers tax breaks to small businesses for hiring a worker who has been unemployed at least two months. It also allows them to write off equipment purchases. The measure also aims to reform municipal bonds to support investment in school and clean energy projects.
