The Demons boys track and field team was competing at the UNI indoor meet yesterday, but their plans for the relay events kind of got a wrinkle in them with an injury. Competing at the Dickinson Relays, Demon Head Coach Steve Roth says they were hoping to get a feel for where times are at before the outdoor season starts on Thursday but he says Anthony Ossman re injured an ankle and that led to a lot of shifting around of the teams. Roth says some of the highlights were Jake Redlinger tying for 4th in the high jump clearing 6’2”. The 4×8 team ran their best time of the season, that was the team of Robert Seubert, Jordan Vittetoe, Matt Kuntz, and Travis Shellman. Roth says Seubert led off with a strong 2:07 and they dropped three or four seconds off their time. Now he says they’ll take the next couple of days working on field events and looking at some of the relay teams because Roth doesn’t anticipate running Ossman in Thursday’s Washington Relays.
