The three Republicans vying for their party’s nomination to run for the district 45 state senate seat each say they’re hoping to fix what they see as problems in government. Randy Besick of Keosauqua says the government has overstepped its regulatory bounds. Rick Marlar of Wayland says the GOP has been on the defensive too long, and needs to be more aggressive. Sandra Griener of Keota says she’s running to fix what she sees as out of control spending. The three spoke at last night’s Washington County Republican Women Meeting. GOP Candidates for Iowa House District 89 and Washington County Supervisor in Districts 5 and 3 also spoke.
