Another tax deadline is coming up. The federal first time homebuyers’ tax credit expires at the end of April. Tim Zear is an Agent with Washington Real Estate. He says the program has somewhat increased home sales locally. Zear says there’s also been a fair amount of people who have inquired about the tax credit, wanting know more about the details. He says anyone thinking of utilizing the program needs to act fast. The credit was first implemented last year and extended in November. It offers incentives for first time homebuyers, or someone who’s lived in their current home as their primary residence for the past five years.
