Today is Earthday. A day set aside to call attention to environmental issues. How is Mother Earth in Iowa? Iowa Department of Natural Resources Director Richard Leopold says it’s “a mixed bag.” He says air quality is in need of improvement, and expects to see that as regulation becomes more stringent. Leopold says on the bright side, more Iowans are taking advantage of state parks and other natural resources, especially fishing. The DNR released its annual state of the environment report this week
