Washington County Supervisors are tipping their hats to the Communications Center’s Sandra Lovetinsky. She was recently recognized as Iowa’s 911 Telecommunicator of the year. She received the honor for a call where the driver of a truck had a seizure on highway 218, and the passenger called 911. Lovetinsky is credited not only with saving the couple’s lives by helping the passenger guide the vehicle to a stop, but also other motorists who were on the road that day. She’s been with the Washington County Communications Center for more than 20 years
