A foreign exchange student at Washington High School is collecting gently used athletic equipment for orphanages in her home country. Simona Ristovska hails from Macedonia. She says she wants to share here experience in the U.S. with kids there. Ristovksa says the predominant sport in Macedonia is soccer, which is fun, but she’s become fascinated with athletic contests here. Donations of either money, or equipment can be made at Washington High School, St. James, the Washington YMCA, or at Ristovksa’s host parent’s house on West Monroe. The deadline to donate is May 7th.
