The National Weather Service has confirmed that it was massive meteor that lit up the Midwestern sky last night. They say the flash was reported to be visible from Minnesota to Michigan and as far south as Missouri just after 10:00 PM. There were also reports of a sonic boom as the meteor exploded in Earth’s atmosphere. In Washington County, the Communications Center says they did not have any reports, but Sheriff Jerry Dunbar says a few members of the ambulance crew as well as a reserve deputy spotted Mother Nature’s light show. Elsewhere, people reported small pieces of falling debris thought to be remnants of the falling space rock. Below is a link to a video of the meteor
