press play to hear from Washington/Keokuk Co. Emergency Management Coordinator Larry Smith
Sirens will sound across Iowa this morning as part of a statewide tornado drill. Washington and Keokuk County Emergency Management Coordinator Larry Smith says they’ll treat it like a real situation to test various facets of emergency response. Smith says if there is actual severe weather this morning, the drill will be cancelled. It’s scheduled for ten this morning. KCII will take part in the drill and test the station’s emergency alert system, backup generator and severe weather procedures.
