press play to hear from Washington County BOS Chair Jim Miksch
Washington County Supervisors have a work session scheduled next week to discuss throwing their support behind a proposed wind energy project. Chairman Jim Miksch has expressed some concern over the proposal because wind farms are eligible for, and often ask for tax breaks. Tim Wichman is with Tradewind Energy, the company looking at building the wind farm. He says they will likely ask supervisors for the special assessment, because it’s a difficult sell to investors without it. The board’s work session is after their regular meeting Tuesday morning.
