The Washington County Engineer’s Office is hoping to clear up what they see as some misconceptions about the new Adopt-A-Gravel-Road program. Thorius says secondary roads were designed in the 40’s and 50’s for vehicles of that era. He says today’s large farm implements can cause considerable damage, while his department’s tax revenue has remained stagnant for several years.
