Two Washington men have been convicted of criminal mischief in connection with a “mudrunning” incident last month. Washington County Attorney Barb Edmondson says 22 year old Julian Kleineberg, and 19 year old John Schafer will pay nearly 900 dollars in fines, court costs, surchages and restitution in connection with the simple misdemeanor. Edmondson says an investigation indicated Schafer’s and Kleineberg’s vehicles had become stuck on Nutmeg Avenue, which is a level B service road. She says damage to the road was consistent with “mudrunning.” Edmondson says anyone caught “mudrunning” or causing deliberate damage to a level B or C road will be prosecuted.
