A senior at Washington High School has received an Outstanding Performance Award from the Iowa High School Music Association. Brian Langr got the honor for a solo performance at this spring’s state competition. The IHSMA says the Outstanding Performance Award’ is a designation of effort and accomplishment that far exceeds the demands made of an average Iowa high school musician. Langr now goes to repeat his performance at the Outstanding Performers Showcase at Iowa State University next month.
