press play to hear from Washington Industrial Arts Teacher Dave McLaughlin
The Washington Junior High is launching a program designed to get students interested in science, engineering and math. Industrial Arts Teacher Dave McLaughlin says the Gateway to Technology initiative will offer hands on manufacturing experience from design to production. McLaughlin says it’s structured to lead into the high school’s Project Lead the Way. The class will be offered to 8th graders each term. They can take on about 100 students in a session.
