The Board of Directors of Tri-Rivers Conservation Foundation has approved directing 10 thousand dollars from the proceeds of their February auction to the Louisa Interpretive Center at Langwood. The funds will remain in the foundation’s general fund to support conservation activities in the Louisa Resource Area. This is the fifth donation of this size for the Louisa County project. Previous donations came from the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation, the Tri-Rivers Board of Directors, Dorothy and AJ Boysen, and Cloverdale Farm. More Fund raising is underway to provide matching funds for a 576 thousand dollar Federal Scenic Byways grant awarded for site and design work which is beginning this spring.
