The committee searching for Washington County’s first ever zoning administrator has a list of four candidates in front of them. Assistant Engineer Jacob Thorius says they’ll conduct a round of second interviews with the applicants and likely make a decision from there. He says they are trying to figure out if supervisors can hold a closed session so the full board can sit in on the interviews, without disclosing the applicants identity in case the person doesn’t want to let their current employer know they are looking for another job. Thorius says they hope to have someone hired by June 1st.
