In Fairfield at the Brookhart Relays, the Demon girls took second as a team, while the boys put up solid times they didn’t place in too many. First for the girls Demon Head Coach Howard Bean says they had some PR’s with Jenna Krebs in the discus. Lucy Libe broke her own school record in the 400 meter hurdles. In the high jump Sammy Ellingson and Johannah Vittetoe went one, two with Ellingson going five feet and Vittetoe four, nine. Maddie Bohr got second in the long jump. The Distance Medley team took first and that was made up of Marissa Gaal, Natalie Enfield, Johannah Vittetoe, and Lauren Kimball. The 4×4 team took second. Fairfield won the meet with 153 team points and Washington was second with 115.

On the boys side the Demons won the 4×8 with Coby Counts, Matt Kuntz, Jordan Vittetoe, and Travish Shelman. Isaac Gardner took second in the shot, Koby Wildenborg was second in the 110 hurdles. The 4×1 team of Koby Wildenborg, Alex Vogel, Landon Coker, Parker Turner took second. The 1600 medley team took second that was Jordan Vittetoe, Colin Steele, Jordan Hoffman, and Kyle Roder. As a team the Demons finished fourth with 63 team points. Mount Pleasant was first with 101, Fairfield second with 89, and Centerville third with 84. Demon Head Coach Steve Rot h said heading in he was going to be really looking at the relay events and Roth says last night the times were great they just didn’t finish in the top three which is where they need to be to qualify for state.
