The Washington Demon boys and girls track and field teams both ended up second at their state qualifying meet. Running at district/regional the Demons qualified several events for next week’s state track meet. First for the boys, those qualifying include:
Discus – 2nd Isaac Gardner
High Jump – 1st Jake Redlinger
4×2 – 2nd Landon Coker, Anthony Ossman, Parker Turner, Alex Vogel
Distance Medley – 1st Landon Coker, Parker Turner, Travis Shelman, Jordan Vittetoe
4×1 – 3rd Jake Redlinger, Alex Vogel, Parker Turner, Landon Coker
4×4 – 2nd Kyle Roder, Anthony Ossman, Josh Moore, Travis Shelman
4×8 – 2nd Matt Kuntz, Coby Counce, Jordan Vittetoe, Travis Shelman

On the girls side for the Demons those qualifying for state include:
High Jump – 2nd Sammy Ellingson
Discus – 2nd Jenna Krebs
800 Meter Run – 1st Lauren Kimball
400 Meter Hurdles – 1st Lucy Libe
4×4 – 2nd Lauren Kimball, Lucy Libe, Mariah Reighard, Regan Enfield
4×8 – 1st Regan Enfield, Lucy Libe, Mariah Reighard, Lauren Kimball
The Demons shuttle hurdle team finished third but their time might have been fast enough to get in.
