The Washington Demon track and field teams were down in Fort Madison for the Southeast Conference track meet. First on the boys side the Demons finished in 4th place with 46 points. Mount Pleasant took 1st place followed by Fairfield and Fort Madison and Keokuk took 5th. The Demons were conference champs in the 4×800 with a time of 8:27.28 with Matt Knutz, Robert Seubert, Jordan Vittetoe & Travis Shelman running. Jake Redlinger also took conference champ status in the high jump with a height of 6’2”. The Demons 4×110 shuttle of Joel Vittetoe, Zach Walgren, Cody Salow and Koby Wildenburg came in 2nd with a time of 1:01.39.

On the girls side the Demons finished 3rd with 67 points. Fairfield took first place followed by Keokuk. Some of the big finishers for the girls; discus-Jenna Krebs took first with 111′ 5.5”; high jump-Sammy Ellingson took first with a height of 5′ 4”; distance medley team-1st place with Marissa Gaal, Natalee Enfield, Johannah Vittetoe and Lauren Kimball with a time of 4:34.11;
400 meter hurdles-Lucy Libe took 1st with a time of 1:08.52.
