Weekend frost might have damaged some lawns and gardens, but likely had little effect on southeast Iowa farm crops. ISU Extension Region 15 Director Gene Mohling says the frost wasn’t as intense locally as it was in other parts of the state. Mohling says this area was right on the verge of a hard freeze, but lucked out with only mild frost. He says 100 miles north the situation is likely much different.
