The IMS soccer team saw their the season come to an end Saturday in a hard fought game against an old soccer rival Holy Trinity. The two teams met in Kalona with a trip to the state tournament on the line. IMS Head Coach Marcus Miller says both teams created chances to score in regulation but the defenses and goalies came up with big stops. Miller says IMS had a great chance when Truman Shetler had a one on one with the goalie but the goalie managed to save the shot. The two teams were scoreless at the end of regulation and the first overtime period, but in double overtime mid way through the half, Holy Trinity was able to score a goal to get the 1-0 win. IMS ends their season at 15-2.

Elsewhere, Keokuk beat Fairfield 3-1 to secure their spot at the tournament.
