The Washington Demon golf teams were at tournaments this weekend, the girls got second and the boys got third. The Demon girls were competing at Central Lee’s tournament and as a team Washington shot 391, Mount Pleasant shot a 377 to win it. Meanwhile there was quite a distance between second and third, the Demons had there 391 for second and Keokuk was third with 436. Individually, Mount Pleasant’s Emily Prellwitz was the medalist with an 83. For the Demons, Molly Donnolly shot 93, Abby Threlkeld 95, Shannyn Paul 97, Cassy Tussler 106, Shelby White 108, and Emily Zehr a 132.

Meanwhile the boys were playing at the Farifield Invite Saturday, and the Demons finished third. Albia ended up winning and Oskaloosa took second. Washington shot a 322 with Joe Harris leading, shooting a 78, Kaleb Rich 79, Alex Thode 82, Jake Redlinger 83, Brock Kimball 86, Dillon DePerrot 88. The Demons will take part in another eighteen hole tournament tomorrow at Mid-Prairie’s tournament in Kalona.
