The Keokuk County Extension is offering a program aimed at connecting kids and their parents by enjoying the outdoors this summer. It’s called the Nature Explore Families’ Club.  According to the Extension, research shows that children benefit greatly from connecting with nature.  Those benefits include increased math and science skills, and enhanced motor skills.  The Club meets the second Sunday of each month beginning Sunday afternoon, June 13th at 1:00 at Lake Belva Deer near the pond.  All family members, of all ages, are invited to participate.  To find out how to register, contact the Keokuk County Extension Office.
