Washington School Board members have approved borrowing 700-thousand dollars install geothermal heating and cooling system in Stewart Elementary. Superintendent Dave Sextro says at close to 2.7-percent, that got a great rate on the general obligation bonds. Sextro says they’ll open bids later this month and hope to get started this once school lets out on June 4th. Most of the project is being funded by a million dollar grant the district received earlier this year.
