Washington County Supervisors this morning are expected to make appointments to two new commissions designed to enforce and interpret the newly adopted zoning ordinance. The planning and zoning commission, and the board of adjustments will replace the existing boards that handle the subdivision ordinance. Supervisors are expected to maintain some members of the existing commissions, and appoint some new ones. They are also looking to find women to serve to comply with the state’s gender balance law. The meeting starts at 9:30 this morning in the Washington County Courthouse.
