The Washington County Auditor is urging voters who aren’t registered to do so by the end of the month. Bill Frederick says Iowa law allows eligible persons to register and cast a ballot on Election Day, however he says this can cause confusion and a backlog. Frederick is urging all eligible voters to file paperwork before the May 29th pre-registration deadline. Those who are already registered do not need to re-register. People who want to change party affiliation can do so at the polls prior to voting. More information is available at the Washington County Auditor’s office.
